Bus
Reserve and pay for an intercity seat before you travel, instead of arriving at the terminal and hoping. Your seat is held against your booking and your ticket is a scannable record.
Who this is for
- Intercity travellers
- Bus operators with seats to fill
- Employers moving staff between sites
How it works
- 1
Pick a route and a departure
Operators publish their schedules; you see departure time, vehicle class and price.
- 2
Reserve a specific seat
The seat is held against your booking, not against your arrival time at the terminal.
- 3
Board with a scannable ticket
Your ticket is verified at the door by QR scan, so a seat cannot be sold twice.
- 4
Your money is held, not handed over
Payment goes into escrow when the job is accepted and is released on confirmed completion, scanned from a QR code. Nobody is paid for work that did not happen.
What you need
- A phone number that can receive your ticket
- Payment from your Walya wallet, telebirr, M-Pesa or bank transfer
Questions about this service
What if the bus is cancelled?
The fare has not left escrow, so it returns to you. The cancellation is recorded against the operator.
Can I book for someone else?
Yes. The ticket is issued to the traveller’s phone number, which can be different from the account that paid.
