Fourteen services. One account.
Any phone.

East Africa's logistics platform — fourteen services, one account, any phone.

Taxis, freight, delivery, water, machinery and more — booked from a smartphone, from *922# on a feature phone, or by calling 9252 and speaking your own language.

Walya is opening in stages. Public sign-up is closed while the platform completes its security review — why that is deliberate.

Built in Ethiopia, held in Ethiopia

Your identity documents never leave the country

Walya runs on its own infrastructure inside Ethiopia. Your Fayda ID is read by a text-recognition engine we host ourselves — never sent to a foreign cloud service. Maps and routing come from our own servers, not from a company abroad watching where you travel. Personal fields are encrypted by the application before they reach the database, so the stored data is ciphertext rather than a readable copy of your life.

Read exactly what we do with your data
  • Drivers are verified against documents, not declarations

A vehicle’s plate is checked against photographs of the plate and its bollo certificate — not against the number the owner typed in.

  • Payment is held, not handed over

Escrow releases on a scanned confirmation at the handover, and returns to you if the job does not happen.

  • Commission is stated before you accept

Either 0% or 12%, depending on subscription, shown on the offer. No fee appears afterwards.

  • Works without a data plan

*922# and the 9252 voice line reach the same platform as the app.
